The supplies I used: scissors, needle nose pliers, round nose pliers, tweezers, beads, clasp, glass pendant, lock and key charm, poem and suede string.
Thanks to the help of a friend who is an experienced jewelry maker, I learned what to do with the above tools. :-) I used a bronze colored pendant frame that I bought from Hobby Lobby for $2.50 and dark brown suede string for the necklace. The beads were on sale at AC Moore for under $5, so it was a pretty inexpensive project. I printed the poem on a natural colored paper rather than white so there wasn't such a stark contrast between the frame and the paper. Making the pendant was actually easy and quick once I became comfortable using the tools. I am rather pleased with the finished product and was amazed at just how easy it was to make.

Poem No. 3
I gather up
each sound
you left behind
and stretch them
on our bed.
Each night
I breathe you
and become high.
